Reading progress update: I've read 30%.
I was a bit annoyed at the beginning and honestly still am (Olivia has apparently been inspired by Sherlock Holmes but the author has failed to grasp that a) Holmes was occasionally impolite but not constantly a rude jerk to his clients and b) he could afford the impoliteness because he was basically the only one doing this job and the people's only hope. Olivia is just one of many Deathsniffers, still she keeps being horrible to her clients)
But the worldbuilding is quite cool and the main character is beginning to grow on me as well.
