Reading progress update: I've read 100%.
I have to sleep on this. It was interesting and certainly well-researched but I found the book didn't quite hold what was promised in the introduction, i.e. focussing on the four sisters and portray them as individuals instead of 'the girls'. It didn't fail completely. Olga and Tatiana were shown to be individuals but Anastasia and Maria mostly stayed 'the younger ones'
